  Ownership

I've been working this week at the newly opened Zhai ecofriendly shop @ Central Clark Quay, helping out in setting up the shop, scrubbing the floor, steaming clothings, folding clothings and of course learning a lot from this process of organising of manpower, cliental communications and finally, learnt the POS system and transactions etc! Pretty much similar to my experience during those SSM days and internship days just that the nets machine in China and in SG is so much different. Anyway I'm loving the shop's tribal accessories and this kolombiana collection. But its sooooooooo expensive I can only admire them from afar :(

Imma 80% introvert, still a little quiet, so still getting familiar with the things there even though I've been working for them for a month.
I've learnt in the process that taking ownership in the things I do really makes the job more interesting. I still remembered dreading part time jobs because my mentality was "get over and done with it, then get the money and off I go" and when there wasn't any spirit of ownership, we take things easy and I actually don't enjoy my stay there because I felt that there wasn't a sense of belonging. It is just like when I first entered China for internship I was dreading it, until the day I learnt to take ownership of the job I am in, and I start to enjoy it, and eventually missed it. :( Taking ownership of the things I do also means putting in more responsibility in the job, and I am not afraid of giving opinions because theres no harm to receive second opinions isn't it? Furthermore God says to glorify Him even at our workplace. So taking responsibility and being a good role model for Christ is really essential.

Have to cancel our trip to Bangkok because my dad didn't allow me to go there anymore because of the riots :( Sad girl here but thankful for my thoughtful friends, we changed our flight to Hong Kong and then Shenzhen where shopping is much cheaper there. Wheeeeeee! And I've just confirmed my Malaysia trip with OYL and its gonna be so eggcitingggggggggg! *inserts gleaming face* Now being a tourism student is super beneficial because we get our itinerary and flight tickets all done within a blink of an eye. So thankful for Kelly for getting all the flight details settled, now I just gotta recalculate my budget for my trip and decide on which insurance I should buy..............
