Yesterday's OCIP meet makes me feel so excited and want to go Hanoi like right now to bless those kids in need there with just a little of the blessings we received here. Haha but yet I still totally want to go back to Mae Selak School in Chiangmai to visit these kids again who have probably grown up already.
Chiangmai OCIP 2009
The take backs from this trip was the breakthrough of school and appreciating the rural lives of other people in this world, and also the growth of compassion and empathy towards those who needed our help. To be honest, I went on this trip with a mind of just wanting to "travel with my friends". But looking at how happy these kids were when we came to play with them and to build a volleyball court for them and how much they looked appreciative of every single stationary that we gave them, but yet have no choice but to sell these little gifts off to earn that few baht for food and water, I began to understand the primary purpose of this trip. Especially the happiest moments on the process of building the court and how proud we were to see these sensible kids initiating to help us in painting and cementing the floor.
Kind of regret not going for Cambodia trip last year because it was too expensive, but this Hanoi trip is definitely going to be another step of growth for me. For we are blessed with so many possessions, why not divide a small portion of it to help others who really need the help, because the small portion of blessings from us would become a gigantic help to them. :)
