School was just fine... and monotonous... but the indescribably empty feeling is still there somehow. 2nd week of school, and 1 month in my new room:  A good chance to showcase my new furniture which I had spent on with my own money cuz mom thinks that it is not a need, but a want as I had old furnitures that I can put it there. I like my new sleeping environment actually, though it is still a lil dusty (I don't know why cuz every weekend I will vacuum and feather dust every corner of my room but still..) which caused me to develop an ultra big acne in the middle of my two eyebrows and it became a laughing stock to so many people, especially the IG-ians :( But I still like my lil cosy room. :) Makes me wanna nua at home the whole day. Culi Culi is so far it's my most enjoyable subject, cuz I get to cook and learn new skills! For this week, we get to hands on chicken stock, cream of carrot soup and onion soup. We had to pull off the chicken fats from the chicken stock (yucks). Somehow I know all of these are graded but.... it just didnt feel stress like doing graded pop quizes in tutorial! Yay I love culi! Didn't make a wrong choice afterall :) Oh god, and I'm excited cuz next week we're gonna start on our main course wooohooooooo!!

Is when you sit with clique 09, and the reminisce feel is back. :') The usual nonsense, teasing, the gayness, fun and laughter. Though I really missed how Ivan and Minming were right beside me but... I got to accept the fact that it is now hard to meet them, even in school because of different timetable and lectures. Sigh. 
Baking
And no matter what and how, I must master the skills of baking. Seriously without the help of Ms Ong (I really miss F&N) I am nothing when it comes to baking. (Each time I bake, I would ponder the thoughts of a cafe in the future, if it would really come true? Or will I stuck in the hospitality industry forever, because it is too difficult to earn enough money to start one cafe? Hmm.)
So this week (or maybe just now), I tried making cupcakes! Had to start from scratch in order to master the skills before I go on to the decoration of cupcakes, I made simple plain vanilla cupcakes! First attempt was like shit, burnt at the corner and the batter was overflowing out of the cup. Googled for possible mistakes, and tried again the second time. Was a success, but a lil too browned.

And then with the leftover batter, I sprinkled some cocoa powder and made petit four choco cupcakes. Apparently it failed cuz I added too little cocoa powder and it didn't taste chocolatey at all. LOL.  Okay mom said it was "okay" but a lil dry. But I find it addictive I alr had the third cup omg!! Weekend Gonna nua my way through tomorrow, perhaps I shall go down to Bugis Street for a walk (it's been long) and buy my high waist shorts and head to *Scape flea to buy the laptop bag I eyed on last week. I'll decide tomorrow. Toodles! |
